Our trip to Dublin
The 2AMa and the 2FWa wanted to give you a small insight of our trip to Dublin in October 2023.
We stayed in a small town called Bray which is close to Dublin. We were divided into groups and each of them were housed in host families. During the week the day started with school and after that we did lots of excursions. In school we had a lot of fun and we learned about Irish traditions and famous songs. Every afternoon we were on excursions like Powerscourt Garden, visiting the Malahide Castle, Glendalough, Greyhound Racing, Cliff Walk Bray head, Guinness Storehouse and we also had a short stay on our last day in Dublin to shop and to view the city.
Our favorite attractions were Powerscourt Garden and the Greyhound Racing. Powerscourt Garden is a beautiful garden with a lot of statues, ponds, blooming flowers, a Japanese Garden and a lovely café. We visited the Greyhound Racing in the late afternoon which was a very funny experience for us. We watched how the dogs competed to the other dogs and it was possible to gamble for a greyhound. And if you were lucky, you won a little bit of money.
For all of us it was a great experience, and it brought a lot of joy.
